What is AI Model Development?
AI model development is building software that learns from data instead of following rules someone typed out — chatbots, document search, forecasting, image recognition, and AI features inside software you already run.
There are four honest ways to build one. You can call a hosted model API, which ships fastest and costs per use. You can fine-tune an open model on your data and host it yourself, which keeps the data in your hands. You can train a model from scratch, which needs a great deal of data and time. Or you can use classical machine learning, which is still the right answer for most forecasting and tabular prediction work.
The hard part is rarely the model. It is the data: whether you have enough of it, whether it is labelled, and whether it is allowed to leave your building. AI Model Development — frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most often, answered plainly.
How much does AI development cost in Bangladesh?
Building on a hosted model API starts at ৳200,000 (about $2,000). A classical machine learning model starts at ৳300,000, fine-tuning an open model at ৳500,000, and training a model from scratch at ৳1,000,000. Hosting and retraining are ongoing costs on top of the build.
How much data do we need to train a model?
It depends on the approach. A hosted API needs none. Fine-tuning usefully starts in the low thousands of labelled examples. Training from scratch needs far more. If you have nothing yet, we can plan the collection as part of the project.
Can the AI work in Bangla?
Yes. We build Bangla chatbots, Bangla document search, and Bangla speech-to-text, and we have run research on Bangla language models since 2019.
Will our data be sent to a foreign company?
Only if you choose a hosted model API. Fine-tuned and self-trained models run on our own servers in Bangladesh, or on your hardware on-premise, so the data never leaves.
Is AI right for my problem at all?
Sometimes not, and we will tell you. Plenty of problems presented as AI problems are solved better and cheaper by ordinary software or a well-written report.
